Multi-Omics Health Technology Networking Day
The multi-omics health technologies theme held their first networking event on Friday 26th May in the Christabel Pankhurst Institute building. Over 25 attendees participated, with 11 speakers presenting 5 min flash talks from University of Manchester (research and facilities across FBMH and FSE), local NHS trusts (including clinicians) and a local industry partner. Speakers introduced themselves, the teams they work in and research areas they conduct or services or facilities they offer. Following networking over the breaks, the afternoon session focussed on round table discussions and sharing thoughts on topics affecting multi-omics health research. This will help with the development of this research theme going forward.
This group were recently awarded internal (University/UMRI) funding to host an event in the autumn, which will build on the discussions held during the networking event. Planning towards this is underway.
If you are interested in joining the multi-omics health technologies mailing list/monthly meetings or would like to present a talk to the group members in future meetings/events then please contact the theme lead, Juhi Gupta.
